Services Offered Life and Mental Health Issues Individual Counseling Services At this time we offer clinical counseling for individuals and families struggling with various life or mental health issues. Topics addressed may include; addictions, anger, anxiety/panic attacks, behavioral acting out, body image, boundaries, codependency, control issues, depression, fear, forgiveness, grief, guilt, relationships, self mutilation, self esteem, sexuality, shame, as well as divorce, financial accountability, healthy nutrition, job loss, marriage and/or relationships. Clients will learn positive, healthy tools and coping skills to address their situations and assisted to incorporate what they are learning into their daily lives. Self Esteem Group This is a 13 week group that explores issues of low self esteem. Subjects covered are determined on the needs of group members and include, good nutrition, stress managment and appearance as they relate to self image. Clients will learn tools and skills to build and maintain positive self esteem as they navigate life. Child Sexual Abuse and Sexual Assualt Services Our current services include; Separate clinical recovery support groups for women, men and teenagers, who are victims/survivors of child sexual abuse and/or sexual assault. Two clinical survivor’s support system groups are offered; one for parents of sexually abused children and the other for spouses or significant others of survivors of child sexual abuse and/or sexual assault. Finally, the heart of our programming is clinical individual counseling. Recovery Support Groups All clinical recovery support groups are closed groups, having a maximum of eight members, run for three hours and are offered in thirteen or twenty-six week sessions. Each survivor group is tailored too specifically to meet the precise needs of the individual participants and may include issues such as; Addictions, Anger, Anxiety/Panic Attacks, Behavioral Acting Out, Body Image, Boundaries, Codependency, Control Issues, Fear, Forgiveness, Grief, Guilt, Healthy Nutrition, Inner Child Healing, Love and Intimacy, Relationships, Self Mutilation, Self Esteem, Sexuality, Sexual Promiscuity, Sexual Identity and Shame. Survivor Support System Groups We offer two types of clinical survivor support system groups. The first group is for parents or guardians of child victims of sexual abuse and the second is for spouses and/or significant others of the survivor. These groups are limited to eight members and run thirteen weeks for three hours each session. These groups assist those individuals who are part of the survivors support systems to understand the issues and ramifications of the abuse/assault their loved one suffered. It further provides them with the tools necessary to cope with the abuse/assault, address their own issues resulting from the abuse/assault, and gives them positive ways to assist the survivor in their healing process. Each survivor support system group is tailored specifically to meet the precise needs of the individual participants. The parent/guardian of sexually abused children group may include such issues as; addiction, anger, boundaries, effects of abuse, grief, self-esteem for parent/guardian and child, discipline, healthy nutrition, listening skills, parenting the abused child, self mutilation, sexual or behavioral acting out of the child as well as coping skills, guilt and shame for the parent/guardian. The spouse/significant others of survivors of child sexual abuse or sexual assault group, will cover issues such as; addictions, anger, boundaries, caring for self, co-dependency, control, coping tools, disassociating, effects of abuse/assault, intimacy, love, panic/anxiety attacks, self-esteem, and sexuality for both survivor and spouse/significant other. Individual Counseling Our clinical individual counseling program provides an in-depth, issue specific personal journey of healing. Topics addressed during individual counseling again may include; Addictions, Anger, Anxiety/Panic Attacks, Behavioral Acting Out, Body Image, Boundaries, Codependency, Control Issues, Fear, Financial Accountability, Forgiveness, Grief, Guilt, Healthy Nutrition, Inner Child Healing, Love and Intimacy, Relationships, Self Mutilation, Self Esteem, Sexuality, Sexual promiscuity, Sexual Identity and Shame. Further, clients are assisted to incorporate the positive, healthy tools and coping skills they are learning into their daily lives.
